Ohio Birth Data

In Ohio and across the country, the number of children born to unmarried parents is steadily increasing.  In some Ohio counties, more children are born to unmarried parents than to married parents.  These changing family structures impact children.  The most typical households without both parents present are those where children live with their mothers only - 23% of all children.  According to the US Census Bureau, nationwide 24 million children (1 out of 3) live absent their biological fathers.
