James C. Jackson is a Program Administrator II for the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Jackson has over 23 years of experience working with the juvenile offender population. He currently provides oversight and quality assurance for the Bureau of Parole’s supervision model, Effective Practices in Community Supervision "EPICS". He facilitates re-entry staffing’s for Cuyahoga County youth who face challenges when they return to the community. He also manages the Ohio Department of Youth Services’ Tattoo Removal grant.
Jackson is originally from Petersburg, Virginia where he attended and graduated high school. He holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Saint Augustine’s University and a master’s degree in education and community counseling from Kent State University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio.
Jackson is married to Deanna R. Jackson and they have three children, Cameron, Chayse, and Leah. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, and cooking.
